so, in case you didn't know, jordan works saturdays, and has thursdays off. i love and hate that he works saturdays. it's good to have him home on a week day so that we can make our doctor appointments and things like that together. but at the same time, everyone in the world has saturdays off, so he misses things like family parties, and things like that.
well on saturday there was a family easter party. i was all ready to go, and then my mom got called into work. so me and jocelynn decided to not go to the party, and go to the zoo and wing coop instead.
my mom said to take a million pictures, but i feel like we've been to the zoo five million and seven times, and there's nothing new to take pictures of. and i'm just as lazy as all the animals in the zoo. i'm shocked i made it through the zoo. i can barely walk through the grocer store without getting exhausted. i did take a few pictures.. just not the best.
and this is atty waving to the monkeys saying "oh, hi monkeys! hi. okay bye monkeys. ah ah!"
she's the best.
after the zoo we went to WING COOP. and if you love wings as much as this pregnant lady (okay, it doesn't matter that i'm pregnant, because i love wings even when i'm not.) then you shoul go there. it's a little bit of a drive, but i think it's worth it. yum. now i want to go right now.
we got home and waited for jordan to get back from the car wash, and then we went to the color festival. i honestly had no idea what to expect from it. except you get covered with chalk. and i was just really hoping i didn't see anyone i knew, because i hate seeing people i know. unless it's planned and stuff. but i DIDN'T expect to have to walk a mile to get there. because like i stated before, I GET TIRED WALKING ABOUT THE GROCERY STORE. plus i had already walked around the zoo. but it was fine i guess. it didn't seem too bad. as we walked people with extra chalk were throwing it us, and blah blah blah. i expected that so i didn't care. BUT the only people that did that were SO WEIRD. they would look at you with angry faces and throw it at you. or say weird things and then throw it at you. hahah. plus some kid had just opened a bag and leaned over jordan and dumped the WHOLE BAG down my shirt. that was weird. but oh well. we took a "before picture." but it wasn't really a before because we already had chalk on us.
i had gone back and forth with taking atty cuz i didn't know if it would be bad for her to be around so much chalk, but someone said kids went all the time, so i took her. and honestly, i'm so glad we did. she had SO much fun. she loved the "colors." every time she would get some on her she would get SO excited. but we had to ask random people to throw some on her because no one wanted to. which i was happy with because i was worried people would throw it on her face. BECAUSE THAT'S THE WORST. someone threw it on my face, which was expected, but after that i was kinda just done. i could not breathe. atty had a blast playing and throwing chalk on people. i honestly don't think she'd ever had so much fun. she was laughing her butt off and running around us all in circles.
from the looks of these pictures it looks like i was letting her play in a dumpster. definitely not the cleanest place on the planet. hahah atty had fun putting it on "baby." and then we decided daddy and jocey and jack had to.
we were done after probably 30-45 minutes and decided to leave. and because it was over. hahah the whole way walking back to the car i could just feel my eye getting smaller.
and by the time we got back to the car and i'd got napkins to clean out my nose my eye was getting SO swollen. and it would not stop watering. my nose would not stop running. and i just thought i was going to DIE. literally. when we were driving home we'd decided i was allergic to something, or maybe someone's hands that threw it at me was just gross. i got home got in the shower. got atty all showered. and my eye was literally almost swollen shut. and then i figured out, i'm allergic to sandal wood. someone told me that's what the chalk is made out of, and it literally made the most sense to me ever. because last time i used a bath bomb it had sandal wood, and the next day, i was SO SICK. i had a fever, a headache, and just felt so crappy. literally almost the same feeling.
but anyways. we did have fun. i kinda want to go back next year, just with a mask or something. atty wants to take baby, but i told her noo way. hahah
